Industrial Dining tables

Here is a preview of our new style industrial
dining table taken in the workshop just after
completion.
The oak parquet blocks were burnt
and then waxed. This gives the stunning black finish
and removes the top layer of grain to leave a gorgeous
driftwood feel to the surface.
The blocks were then laid in a herring bone pattern.
This allows the light to refract in different ways on the
top giving an unusual visual display at various angles.
We would like to thank Tracey for sticking her neck out
and allowing us to try this experimental method. Thanks
also to Edwin who came up with the method and Lorena
of EL Furniture Brighton.
The table will be delivered tonight and I hope Tracey likes
it as much as we do.
